🌈 As the clock read 11:11 am, my promise scripture Hebrews 11:11 came to mind, "By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised."
🌈 I believe God gives us all promise scriptures to guide us through every season of life. These are the times when we witness God's word come alive. However, Hebrews 11:11 has been threaded throughout my entire walk with God and has now become one of my life scriptures.
🏜 I had cultivated a habit of seeking God first. I used to struggle with insecurity that enabled a habit of cowardice and retreat. Many times I felt invisible next to my husband, Scott, who was well-known, well-liked and a huge target for every prophetic minister we ever saw. There were times we'd be in a ministry line together and the minister would skip me to go straight to Scott, which further helped to solidify my feelings of insignificance. As a result, I didn't run after prophetic ministries hoping for a word, I had grown accustomed to seek God for His opinion.
👸 In the beginning of my walk, one way God used to speak to me was through a lucid dream. In this dream, as I was flying among the clouds, a large cloud came to my left and morphed as a veil to cover God's face. Then the Cloud locked eyes with me, smiled, and said, "Hi Sarah".
Immediately upon waking, I searched my biblical meaning of names book (it was before google🤣) to find that Sarah meant princess. You see "Elsa" wasn't a popular name then, and I couldn't find the meaning of my name, until years later when a name book would reveal one interpretation as "royal & noble". For the next season, I signed my journal letters to God "love, your princess". My feelings of worthlessness and insignificance began to dissipate with every signature.
🏜 When God began highlighting Hebrews 11:11, it really spoke to me since it was about Sarah. I knew it was a direct word over my life. I have referred to this promise throughout our "live by faith" journey, learning who God is as our provider, to traveling like nomads, to moving forward after loss.
💗 God has promised to always give me the strength.
